What's New on sbc.compare: August 2026
Everything added to sbc.compare in August 2026: 6 new boards, 6 new SoCs, 9 verified benchmark runs and more.
It's been a little quiet over here, but I've been quietly working away whenever I can find time, and in light of that, here's a 1st from the "What's new.." series that will be coming monthly to highlight the new SBCs, SoCs, and everything else weird and wonderful that comes my way!

New Boards#
It should be made clear that "New" here means new to the site, though I'm hopin that's quite obvious given the lineup here. The Orange Pi 6 is the newest board to be added, with the 12-core CIX P1 SoC under the hood. It stomps everything else tested in August but uh, let's have a quick look anyway..

6 new SoCs joined the database this month, including a slightly more exotic 3-core option in the form of the Rockchip RK3506B.

Nothing particularly new to shout about, but we're slowly backfilling brands of SBC we haven't featured before (such as HardKernel/ODROID) so the older Amlogic SoCs are getting a bit of love.
Site Changes#
Not a lot happened in August on the public side of things, it was mostly planning for bigger changes for the future. That said, I did add "Last Updated" dates to the individual board pages so you could see when pricing, benchmark data, or anything else relating to the board was updated in the database. Nothing worse than hitting a page and seeing "Last Updated: 40 years ago" so here's to hoping I can keep things fresh enough to stop that from happening!
Coming Up#
There are plenty of features coming for September. Site structure, tests/benchmarks, and much more. For that, though, you're going to have to wait until the end of September (he says writing this August round-up in late September, knowing full well it's coming in a few days).
