Raspberry Pi 5 Gets 1GB Model, Prices Increase
Raspberry Pi announced a new 1GB Pi 5 model today at $45, alongside price increases across several Pi 4 and Pi 5 variants due to rising LPDDR4 memory costs.
What's New
The 1GB Pi 5 brings the same 2.4GHz quad-core processor, dual-band Wi-Fi, and PCIe connectivity to a lower price point. It's now available and will be added to the comparison database shortly.
Price Changes
Raspberry Pi 4:
- 4GB: $55 → $60
- 8GB: $75 → $85
Raspberry Pi 5:
All pricing on sbc.compare has been updated to reflect these changes. The smaller RAM configurations across the Pi 4 models, Pi 3+ and earlier boards and Pi Zero remain unchanged.
Raspberry Pi attributes the increases to memory supply constraints driven by AI demand.
